We're having a small(ish) close friends and family wedding in Denmark this summer. Most of you should have received your Save-The-Date cards by now -- how would you have come here otherwise, right?
We've invited friends and family from six different countries and we'd like to provide some information on planning the journey for those of you traveling from far away.
Who: Angela Chi Kai Yeung and Søren Dreijer Madsen (doh!)
When: July 6th, 2013 in Denmark
Where: An awesome Danish Castle (?)
Some of you may have heard that the wedding will be at a Danish castle. We've decided to keep it a small secret for now exactly which castle we're talking about, though! We'll try to help arrange transportation to and back from the castle as best as we can. More information about that later.
The wedding itself will start around 2pm on July 6 with welcoming and reception and last until the last person drops (Soren's parents have vowed to stay awake to the very end. Who's up for challenging them!).
We've rented out the whole castle to allow all of you to spend the night. The room rate has been negotiated to DKK 1000 per room (we hope for your understanding as we work through the task of dividing up the rooms). We plan on departing the castle the next morning after brunch.
International Guests:
It's probably a little early to start booking tickets (ideally, you'd want to book two months ahead, around April-May 2013), but we would like to give you some basic info for you to start researching the trip.
Airport
Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and its airport CPH will be where you should be flying in.
Hotel
We (with the assistance of KK Ho) are negotiating a group discount for 10+ rooms in the Radisson Blue Hotel not too far from the airport and the city center. The price range is DKK 900-1100 depending on the room type. Otherwise, you may also like to check other hotels that will suit your budget and style more.
If we find extra discount or deals with other hotels, we'll post it on the website and update you all. Please check back often or subscribe to the site for more info.
